Waldo7Labs is not a marketing name. It is my grandfather's name. Waldo Chesnut was a mechanic, a farmer, and a builder who spent his life in the hills of Berne-Knox, New York.
He never did a job halfway. Putting his name on this business means I do not get to either.
Chapter 01
Who he was
Mechanic
If it had an engine, he worked on it. That is where I first learned how things fit together.
Farmer
Early mornings, long days, and no one to hand the work off to. You show up and you finish.
Builder
He built the family home with his own hands. Eight years, no shortcuts. It still stands.
He was a man of faith, and you saw it in how he treated people, not in what he said about it. He raised his family the same way he built everything else: with patience, care, and no shortcuts.
Chapter 02
Learning
the trade.
Some of my best memories are standing next to him while he showed me how things worked. Wrenching on our old go-kart. Riding on his John Deere.
Today the tools are code and servers instead of steel and engines. The way of working has not changed.

The house
he built.
With his own two hands, over eight years. Stone by stone, board by board. The same way he approached everything: patient, precise, and finished.

When my oldest son was born, I knew his middle name before anything else. Jaxon Waldo. The name goes on, and so does the way of working that came with it.
