The money math

What the apps keep.

Move the sliders to your numbers. This is about what the app takes from those orders each month.

Estimate

Each month the app keeps about

$1,625

Each week: $375

Every order that comes through your own site instead, that part stays yours.

An estimate, not a promise. Your real cut is in your app contract, and most places move some orders to their own site, not all. Paid online, Stripe keeps about 2.9% + 30¢ of each order. Pay at pickup has no card fees.

Three levels

Start free. Add more.

Every restaurant site starts at level 1. Add pickup orders when you want them, and delivery after that.

  • Level 1

Order buttons and Google menu info

    FreeWith every restaurant site

    What it does for you

Buttons on your site that open the apps you are really on. Your menu, hours and order links are set up so Google can read them.

    How you find out

Orders still come through the app, the same as today.

    What I need from you

Your menu, and which apps you are on.

    What it costs

Included free with every restaurant site.

  • Level 2

Pickup orders on your own site

    $149One time

    What it does for you

Every order on your own site skips the DoorDash cut, often 15 to 30 percent.

    How you find out

Each order comes to your email right away with what they want, their name, phone and pickup time. I set this up for you after you sign.

    What I need from you

Your menu with prices, and the email you want orders sent to. To take cards online, a free Stripe account in your name. Or they pay when they pick up.

    What it costs

$149 one time. Pay at pickup has no card fees. Paid online, Stripe keeps about 2.9% + 30¢ of each order. No cut per order from me.

  • Level 3

    Delivery from your own site

    QuotedDoorDash Drive or Uber Direct

    What it does for you

Orders from your site, brought by a DoorDash or Uber driver for a flat fee.

    How you find out

Each order comes to your email like a pickup order, and the driver is sent for you. I set this up for you after you sign.

    What I need from you

Pickup orders on your site first, your menu, a free Stripe account, and a DoorDash Drive or Uber Direct business account. I help you set that up.

    What it costs

Quoted, ask me. Each delivery is a flat fee set by DoorDash or Uber, usually about $7 to $10, not a percentage of the order.

Order buttons for DoorDash and Uber Eats, and Google gets your menu and delivery info: free with every restaurant site. Delivery needs pickup orders first. Exact quote in your proposal.

Here’s a restaurant site I built.

Bar-B-Q King in Lincolnton. The menu, the hours and catering requests, on a site that opens fast on a phone. It does not take online orders.
