The business
What they needed
Freedom Locksmith is Paul, a U.S. Navy combat veteran, and his son Todd.
They run a 24/7 mobile locksmith out of one truck across New Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, Dade City, Lutz and Land O' Lakes. Most people who need them are standing next to a locked car with a phone in their hand, sometimes at night.
They need the number big, a price for their key, and a way to pay that they already have on their phone. And Paul cannot answer while his hands are in a door.
What we built
The build, screen by screen
We built the site for that one moment. The first screen is a sign with the phone number on it, and it reads on a 320 wide phone as well as on a big one. A key section lists push-to-start fobs, flip keys and chip keys, with 18 makes from Ford to BMW and Mercedes: tap a make and the quote form fills it in, then sends it to Paul by text.

A sign you can read on any phone
The first screen is the call sign: who they are, what they do and the number, big. We checked it on a 320 wide phone, a 360 wide Android and a 390 wide iPhone, and it reads on all three without zooming.

Lost your only key?
Push-to-start fobs, flip keys and chip keys, all cut and programmed at the car. There are 18 makes on the page, BMW and Mercedes included. Tap one and the quote form fills it in, then the quote goes to Paul by text.

Fobs from $29.99
Paul asked for a simple fob section, not a store. It shows his own photos of the fobs, flip keys and blades he carries, his price from $29.99, and one button to text him the year, make and model.

Pay the ways he takes
Cash, Cash App, Zelle, Apple Pay and Venmo sit under the quote form and in the footer. Cash App and Venmo open the app on his name. Zelle and Apple Pay show the number to send to.

A Navy vet and his son
When you call, one of these two pulls up. Never a call center and never a subcontractor. Each one gets a card that says who he is and what he does on the job.

His real review
Freedom is new to Google, and the site does not pretend otherwise. It shows his one real Yelp review, five stars, word for word, with a link to it on Yelp.
The whole build
The fob section shows Paul's own photos and his price, from $29.99. Under the form and in the footer, the ways he takes money are chips: Cash App and Venmo open the app on his name, and Zelle and Apple Pay show the number to send to. A Meet Paul and Todd section shows the two people who will pull up, with a card for each.
The site shows his one real Yelp review word for word, and no made-up ones. Off the site, we set up an answering line for the calls Paul misses on a job: it picks up, takes the message and emails it to him.
