Where they started

The problem.

Arrows of Wonder sells printed homeschool unit studies by Kayt Carlson: one theme, four learning levels, so children aged 5 to 14 can learn together. The books are printed to order, so every sale has to reach the owner with the right title and level, and parents want to know where their book is without emailing to ask.

What we did about it

What we built.

Parents browse the books, which are read straight from the print partner's catalog, add them to a cart and pay through Stripe Checkout. When Stripe confirms the payment the order is saved, the customer gets a confirmation email and the owner gets a new order email, so the book can go to print. As the order moves along she sets its status from her dashboard, processing, printing or shipped with a tracking number, and can email the customer at each step.

A Track page lets a customer enter their order number and email and see that status in plain English. The same dashboard covers customers, coupons, media, email templates, the newsletter and the site's own content. Everything runs on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 database, and every email goes out through Resend.
