Belmont sits on a strip of land between the Catawba River and the South Fork, in the east end of Gaston County. I build custom websites for the shops, restaurants and trades here, and I keep them running after launch.
Belmont is boxed in by water. The Catawba River runs down the east side, the South Fork runs down the west side, and both run into Lake Wylie to the south. I-85 runs along the north edge of town, so Charlotte is a short drive east.
Downtown is a few blocks of Main Street with restaurants, coffee, small shops and offices. Belmont Abbey College sits just north of it, near I-85. Out past downtown are the trades that serve the newer homes by the water: builders, landscapers, painters, cleaners, and pool and dock work.
